Dexter, a névadó hős sorozat ... sorozatgyilkos. Azonban ez nem öli meg a véletlen és ártatlan áldozatok. Gyerekként került egy rendőr Harry, aki megtanította neki, hogy kielégítse a beteg vágyait - ő nevezte, "a kód", amely lehetővé tette a hős büntetni csak azokat, amelyek megérdemlik. Mivel a halála Harry senki, aki tisztában volt a sötét igazságot a Dexter, még a fogadott nővér Deb, aki azt is, hogyan dolgozik a rendőrség. Egy nap az élet idilli hős settenkedik be, aki a leginkább inspirál őszinte csodálattal. A gyilkos a hűtött teherautók, így nevezte el a rendőrség, a megcsonkított áldozataik egy nagyon eredeti és egyedi módon.
