The protagonists of the film are two aferzyści: Black and Marko, making the German occupation during the robbery of the Communist Party. Both are competing for the actress, Natalia. Cellar becomes an allegory of Tito's Yugoslavia - the country lies, artificially sustained panic of war and the cult leader. When, after years of black leaves on the surface, at the head of an armed gang, begins to wreak havoc with the alleged fascists fighting (it takes Then the war in Yugoslavia) - shooting at all, Chetnik, Ustasha and the UN-men.
