Game Notes
Dawn of Discovery takes place in the year 1404, when King Georges land is
suffering from severe droughts and brutal famine. Aware of his peoples
distress, the king calls on his two sons, William and Edward, to acquire new
territories in order to produce enough goods to satisfy the needs of his
empires inhabitants. Whereas Edward suggests aggressive means to collect
the precious resources, his brother William offers a peaceful solution,
proposing to explore new and unsettled lands in the south of the kingdom
With his Fathers blessing, William heads south to the mysterious Orient and
returns with valuable new technologies such as the water pump that allows
dry lands to be cultivated in order to produce enough food for the people
But there are still many unmet needs within the kings empire, and players
are tasked with the mission of fulfilling those needs while both expanding
and sustaining the vast society
Install Notes
1. Extract RARs
2. Mount or burn image
3. Install
4. Copy the cracked Anno4.exe to your installation dir overwriting the
existing one (you may also delete the files dvm.dll & TagesClient. now
to save some 50MB of wasted diskspace
5. Run the game using Anno4.exe (update your gu.exe shortcuts accordingly
to avoid update problems
6. Have fun
If you need help use the included 4 Trainer located in the crack dir

Apparently the usual suspects haven't dug up any unprotected demo, beta,
hawaiian multi 12 or whatever binary to copy from, so we finally decided to
go all the way and do a full VM rebuild of the original. Enjoy

Kolejna odsłona popularnej serii strategii ekonomicznych. Tym razem akcja osadzona jest w XV wieku, a zabawa koncentruje się na ukazaniu świata Orientu. Gracz zajmuje się między innymi zakładaniem nowych kolonii.

Anno 1404 jest czwartą odsłoną popularnej serii strategii ekonomicznych. Akcja opisywanej produkcji przenosi gracza w czasy Średniowiecza (XV wiek), koncentrując się na przedstawieniu orientalnego świata. W trakcie zabawy przejmuje się kontrolę nad grupą kolonistów, którym udało się dotrzeć do wschodnich wybrzeży Azji.

Właściwa rozgrywka cechuje się zbliżonym przebiegiem do poprzednich tytułów z serii Anno. Zabawę zazwyczaj rozpoczyna się na pokładzie statku, a gracz musi zdecydować się na założenie osady na jednej z kilku dostępnych wysp. Kluczem do sukcesu jest dbanie o stały rozwój kolonii, dzięki czemu z czasem przekształcają się one z niewielkich wiosek w tętniące życiem metropolie.

Model ekonomiczny oparto na mechanizmach doskonale znanych miłośnikom serii. Gracz zajmuje się między innymi spełnianiem żądań kolonistów, tworzeniem prawidłowych łańcuchów produkcyjnych, zaspokajaniem popytu na określone towary czy handlowaniem wytworzonymi dobrami. Równolegle należy dbać o stan posiadanych funduszy, choćby poprzez regulowanie nakładanych na mieszkańców podatków.

W grze nie brakuje działań o charakterze dyplomatycznym. Utrzymywanie przyjaznych kontaktów z mieszkańcami nieznanego świata otwiera drogę do pozyskiwania orientalnych towarów, takich jak kawa czy dywany. Istotną nowością w Anno 1404 jest także obecność wpływowych sułtanów. Można dążyć do zwrócenia na siebie ich uwagi, chociażby poprzez stawianie efektownych monumentów oraz dostarczanie im rozmaitych upominków.

Do dyspozycji gracza oddano kilka różnych trybów zabawy, wśród których nie zabrakło fabularnej kampanii singleplayer. W miarę kolejnych postępów pozyskuje się różnego rodzaju nagrody. Przewidziano też opcję przesyłania swoich osiągnięć innym użytkownikom.

Anno 1404 działa na zupełnie nowym silniku graficznym, oferując jeszcze więcej atrakcji wizualnych. Zmagania prowadzone są teraz na bardziej obszernych planszach, dając graczowi większe pole do działania. Na uwagę zasługuje też możliwość ingerencji w wygląd pojedynczych budynków. W przeciwieństwie do poprzednich gier z serii Anno, gdzie stawiane obiekty automatycznie pojawiały się na wyspie, tutaj można przyglądać się procesowi ich konstruowania. Lista drobnych usprawnień obejmuje między innymi symulowanie powiewania obiektów na wietrze czy bardziej realistycznie wykonaną wodę.
